The Perfect Pokémon Legends: Z-A Mega Evolution Based on Your Astrological Sign
This comeback of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked immense enthusiasm across the community. From the gradual reveal of fresh additions ahead of the game's release, to players developing firm opinions on the entire roster of new Megas, there's a lot for fans to look forward to.
With many of the Mega Evolutions boasting distinctive appearances that highlight their traits, one idea naturally: What's the best way to link this with zodiac signs? The following is based on a blend of vibes, sign stereotypes, and individual observations.
Aries – Mega Camerupt
Honestly, Houndoom was almost selected for this fire sign, as both are the Mega Pokémon and zodiac symbol that inspire the most fear. However, a Mega Houndoom appears as always angry, which isn't typical of the Ram's energy, known for being playful, cheerful, and impulsive. This makes the Ram far more similar to Super Camerupt, which solely spews lava when angered. Remain on the good side of either and enjoy a powerful partner; if you cross them, prepare to face the consequences.
The Bull – Mega Heracross
Similar to a devoted Bull, the reliable Heracross, both in its standard and Mega form, has assisted many players in Legends: Z-A. Though dependable, both the Pokémon and a Taurus are still Fighting types, and – be it their trainer or a strong opinion – will stand up for their side unwaveringly. The thing about Mega Heracross that reminds me most of my Taurus friends, though, is its unabashed love of snacks. Several previous Pokédex entries note their craving for sweet tree sap and how it uses its appendage to collect it all, which is true Bull-sign vibe.
Gemini – Mega Medicham
Look at this absolute queen. It's impossible to convince me this creature is not the soul of every party, offering an endless stream of chatter to those who wish to listen. Much like an enrapturing, sociable Twins, it's incredibly easy to envision Mega Medicham captivating an entire Wild Zone with their stories. This Pokémon's official description also states its ability to predict an opponent's next moves, which seems quite similar to a socially-savvy Gemini.
Cancer – Mega Manectric
Cancer is widely considered as the most emotional member of the astrological wheel, a passionate symbol known for frequently becoming wrapped up in their emotions. According to the official info, Mega Evolution charges the creature with a “huge quantity of electricity, but it's too much for this Pokémon to fully control,” which seems a lot like a typical Cancer emotional outburst. This Pokémon is also recognized for its capability to create a thundercloud over its own self – and if there’s one thing a Cancer is likely to do, it’s rain on their good time.
Leo – Super Starmie
Oh, did you think I was going to select the lion Pokémon for the king of the zodiac? Besides the reality that it would be much too obvious, Leo is clearly Mega Starmie, the diva whose gams just went viral for being too fabulous (or horrifying, depending on your taste). Players couldn’t look away from the violet sea star, and that’s precisely the same vibe a Leo brings to the scene. Starmie is also rumored to be transmitting signals from its red core out into the cosmos, and it’s typical of a Lion to be putting on a show, albeit for extraterrestrials.
Virgo – Super Victreebel
The ever-prepared and perpetually-anxious Maiden is perfectly represented in Mega Victreebel, the Super Form with perpetual acid reflux. The zodiac symbol known for being endearingly judgmental is strongly reflected across this creature's whole evolutionary chain, from a perpetually shocked face like a Virgo when you tell them you lack a 401(k), to its inverted visage that’s similar to the emoji a Maiden posts to the group chat when all says they want to “go with the flow” rather than making a plan.
The Scales – Super Audino
Look at this sweet, empathetic being, who employs the sensors on its auditory organs to detect how people are feeling by their pulse. Always empathetic – sometimes to a fault – and striving to maintain the harmony, there are numerous Libras who would likely benefit from Mega Audino’s skills. Though, let’s be honest, it would likely just cause them to worry more about everyone else.
Scorpio – Super Banette
This Ghost-type is a creature with a surprisingly tragic origin: Abandoned as a toy, it gained consciousness through pure hatred and vowed revenge on its previous caretaker. Per the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “enhances its spitefulness.” That seems precisely like many discussions I’ve had with my scary Scorpio friends. A Scorpio adores cosmic justice and comeuppance, making them the perfect pair with Mega Banette.
The Archer – Super Hawlucha
Both Super Hawlucha and Sagittarians are constantly putting on a show. Being a Archer personally, the number of times I’ve called myself some version of a “playful small jester” is countless. The showiest and most obnoxious Mega Evolution, its description even notes how it “flexes to show off its strength.” I would do the very same thing if I had a Super Form, making Mega Hawlucha the most fitting Archer counterpart I can think of.
Capricorn – Mega Absol
Were you aware that a Super Absol has the power to foresee calamities in advance? That gives the identical energy as a Goat, who tends to consistently believe they’re correct. The thing is, much like a prophetic Mega Absol, they often are. It’s also the very first Super Form that players meet in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Goat to get in on the beginning of the Mega trend.
Aquarius – Super Chandelure
Detached element Water Bearer is arguably the non-flame placement that is closest to a flame symbol – its sister sign is Leo, and there are numerous jokes about the Archer and Aquarius being unpredictable accomplices. Mega Chandelure’s dual Spirit/Flame typing matches seamlessly with this, and the Mega’s overall intimidating aura is also very Water Bearer. If you hadn't yet convinced, the Super Form's Pokédex entry says it “absorbs negative energy and converts it into power.” If that fails to perfectly {encaps
