Netflix Casts Spot-On Star for Mr. 2 in the Hit Series Third Season
The Secret Organization is poised to play a huge role in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, although the real showdown won’t unfold until the next season, and a cherished, fan-favorite member has now been chosen.
The platform declared Tuesday that the skilled actor will appear in the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will embody Mr. 2. This character has the ability to transform into an exact copy of anyone they’ve laid a hand on with their main hand. Escola, who is gender non-conforming and uses they/them pronouns, will portray a interpretation of that role reinterpreted as non-binary, rather than as a drag performer, in the live-action show, as in the source material and animated series.
Escola is joined by several other recently announced actors set to bring the group to life, such as leader Mr. 0, brought to life by the well-known actor, Sophia Anne Caruso as a key member, and an accomplished actor, who will appear as the lineup as the ruler of the desert kingdom.
Although the role is a important part of the group, the individual won’t appear until One Piece the third season. Considering the second season set to cover the Little Garden storyline, this represents a significant shift in the timing of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could signal further changes to the narrative framework.
Their mix of excellent comedic sense and emotional depth makes them a standout choice for the part. Along with their current animated role in the animated coming-of-age film Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and numerous honors for writing and starring in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, showcasing the range they’ll add to one of One Piece’s widely praised figures.
Netflix's live-action One Piece show is scheduled to come back for its season two on the tenth of March, 2026.
