Loyal supporters of Ariana Grande are demanding that a man who leaped a barricade and seized the actress during yesterday's Wicked: For Good premiere be arrested or expelled from Singapore.

A widely shared footage depicts the individual from Australia bypassing camera operators and charging at Grande while the actors made its way down a event pathway surrounded by supporters.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo immediately guided the stunned performer away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being led away of the event by guards.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram recently that he was "released after being arrested", though court documents revealed that he was set to appear on the next day. It is uncertain if he was formally accused.

Record of Disruptions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Controversial Figure", has crashed a concert or event. His Instagram account features clips of him disturbing other celebrity events, including jumping on stage at the pop singer's Sydney show in earlier this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers event in the city last winter.

"Measures must be taken applied against him as this is evidently a legal violation," commented an Instagram follower, in a reply to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his act.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" another Instagram user wrote.

Followers Express Concern Over Ariana's Safety

Many supporters blamed Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had discussed dealing with PTSD after a devastating incident at the finale of her 2017 show in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and wounding numerous individuals.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" wrote a further comment on Instagram.

Several supporters also criticised security officers at the gathering for not being adequately prepared; while different individuals called for online networks to ban Mr Wen's content.

Aftermath and Premiere Information

In clips circulating online, Grande appeared startled when she was touched by the intruder. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed reassuring her while Mr Wen was led out by staff.

Grande has not commented on the incident, and the remaining proceedings proceeded as normal.

Many of Singapore attendees had waited to meet the cast of Wicked

Hundreds of attendees had assembled in a mass of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good regional debut in a Singapore venue, including several who had stood in line for as long as many hours before it started.

The movie, to be launched on November 21, is the sequel of a dual adaptation of the acclaimed Broadway and West End show Wicked, which focuses on the unlikely friendship between two very different witches.

The production itself is a derivative of the classic story The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the good witch Glinda, was dressed in a champagne pink sparkling outfit at the event while Erivo, who portrays the villainous character, wore a elegant ensemble decorated with roses.

They were accompanied by fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the highest-grossing film of last year in the UK, and earned a dozen award recognitions, winning two for outstanding attire and artistic direction.
